The Guanín was a sacred taino metal- a mix of gold, silver and copper fused by low heat and hammering. Its value was not just the metal’s shine and color, but in its conveyance of spiritual power, memory and identity. In a sense, we are guanin. We are forged in the tropical heat from Taino, African and Spanish roots. Three cultures fused into one... Boricua.
Guanín Collection honors that complex heritage made from sweat, blood and tears turned to strength, patria and celebration. All designs are made by a Boricua in the diaspora with 20 years of experience in the jewelry industry and a longing for home.
